Home For A Mut: An ‘Outsiders’ Attempt To Understand Belonging’

This is an ongoing community research project funded by Research England and is exploring communities and coproduction. Its focus is on people in danger of been lost - who maybe find it harder to fit, find their people or place. To explore why that might happen and what alternatives there might be.  Using letter writing participants were invited to respond with their own reflections on the question “have you ever been lost”, or pass to someone else to reply, so the letters would ripple outward into communities and settings beyond my control, creating a chain-letter effect. This slower, more vulnerable form of exchange embraces risk — broken chains, lost responses — creating an alternative slower space for dialogue, trust, and shared authorship.
